In response to the severe winter storm forecast to impact the region beginning January 25, 2026, and following the State of Emergency declared by New York State, the Village of Warwick has declared a Local State of Emergency & Local Emergency Order.
The storm is expected to bring significant snowfall and dangerously low temperatures, creating hazardous travel conditions and posing risks to public safety, life, and property. The local declaration allows the Village to take necessary emergency actions, coordinate with State, County, and Town officials, and ensure that emergency services and public works operations can respond effectively.
As part of this Local Emergency Order:
-
On-street parking is prohibited for the duration of the storm to allow for safe and efficient snow removal.
-
Travel on Village streets should be limited to emergency and storm-related vehicles only.
-
Emergency personnel and equipment may access private property if necessary to ensure safe passage for emergency vehicles.
Residents are urged to monitor official Village communications for updates, follow all emergency directives, and avoid unnecessary travel.
Please stay safe and take appropriate precautions during this severe weather event.
Due to the snow storm and snow removal there will be no parking on Main Street Until Further Notice
