In addition to Village-owned parks, the Town of Warwick, the Warwick Historical Society, and nearby communities offer several wonderful outdoor spaces:
● Lewis Park: Located at Main, Church, and High Streets and maintained by the Historical Society of Warwick, Lewis Park is a picturesque lawn area surrounding the Baptist Meeting House and the 1810 House. The park serves as a gathering place for community events, reenactments, holiday markets, and summer programs—offering open green space and historic charm. Reservations are available for private events through the Historical Society.
● Town of Warwick Parks: The Town maintains multiple parks including Warwick Town Park, Cascade Park, Pine Island Park, and Airport Park. For more information, please visit the Town of Warwick Parks & Recreation page.
● Wickham Woodlands: Once the site of the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility, Wickham Woodlands is now a 600-acre Town park featuring walking and biking paths, open green space, picnicking, a large pavilion (generously donated by the Warwick Lion’s Club), scenic Wickham Lake for fishing and passive boating, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. The park is also home to the Wickham Woodland Manor Room, available to rent for events—please contact the Town of Warwick at 845-986-1124 ext. 248 or visit the Town’s website for availability and reservations.
Current plans under the “Transformation Trails” initiative are adding pollinator meadows, native plantings, artistic elements, and path enhancements.
