A painted blue line recently appeared on Main Street/Route 94 in the Village. The line came from an unknown source. Police officials and the NYS Department of Transportation have been notified and the incident is under investigation.
Main Street/Route 94 is a designated NYS highway and is under the authority and maintenance of the NYS Department of Transportation. The line in this situation violates DOT regulations on traffic signals and striping. The Village of Warwick is waiting to hear back from a NYS DOT representative on how the issue will be addressed.
