JOB OPENING
AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC
The Village of Warwick is seeking a qualified and dependable individual to fill the position of Automotive Mechanic in accordance with the County of Orange Job Classification Specification Title # 1070.
This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a wide variety of municipal vehicles and equipment, including trucks, diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, snowplows, generators, pumps, and other public works machinery. Duties include diagnosing mechanical issues, repairing engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Village equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience involving automotive repair or automotive maintenance.
- Ability to perform skilled automotive repair work and operate related equipment and tools.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL license or ability to obtain one is preferred.
- ASE Certification Preferred
Position Classification: Non-Competitive Civil Service
