Main Street Improvements & Supporting Our Local Businesses

The Village of Warwick is currently undergoing sidewalk and curb improvements along Main Street as part of a NYSDOT project. While construction activity has been noticeable in recent weeks, this work is progressing on schedule and will result in long-term benefits for our community.

The project includes the installation of ADA-compliant sidewalks and new curb bump-outs designed to enhance pedestrian visibility and safety at crosswalks.

The Village recognizes that construction can be disruptive. However, it is important to note that:

  • All businesses remain open and accessible
  • Parking throughout the downtown remains available

During times of construction, there is often a tendency to avoid the area. We encourage residents and visitors to continue supporting our local businesses, as they rely on consistent patronage to sustain operations and maintain the quality and character that define Warwick.

With the arrival of spring, downtown Warwick offers many opportunities to enjoy the season—from dining and shopping to preparing for upcoming occasions such as Mother’s Day.

This construction is temporary, but the strength of our local business community depends on continued support.

We encourage everyone to visit downtown, shop local, and take part in all that Warwick has to offer.
